This week’s episode of the Cougar-licious™ Cubhouse is bursting with personality, power, and plenty of playful sass. As always, we celebrate women who stand firmly in their own strength, honor their inner diva, and—of course—enjoy a little eye candy along the way. And today, that eye candy is sitting right between two cougars! Yes, our guest lineup features the fabulous DJ Gerri Bender—broadcasting brilliance from Las Vegas to Philadelphia—and the hilarious Jorge Luis, a Vegas-born comic who’s been lighting up stages since college. Together, they bring music, mischief, and more laughs than we knew what to do with. And as your host—Donna Joy, the full-blooded, red-headed, blue-eyed Italian who wears enough red lipstick to survive three courses and a cappuccino—I couldn’t wait to dive in.
Gerri kicks things off with stories from the world of community radio, broadcasting coast to coast, and keeping the Philly energy alive—complete with quick wit, a little edge, and the kind of charm only a lifelong East Coaster can deliver. Jorge jumps in as the “cub between two cougars,” sharing his journey from college theater kid to full-time comedian, his run-ins with airplane hecklers, and his adventures doing comedy in Las Vegas hot spots—from Wise Guys to Hammered Harry’s, the restaurant where insults are the main menu item. Together, this trio took us from music history to Halloween mischief to Rocky Horror antics, with plenty of Cougar-licious™ banter in between.
